*We make every effort to use recycled wire and beads for these classes.
Painting--Floorcloths, Furniture (recycle that old piece of furniture), Glass Painting If our class schedule doesn't fit your schedule, please contact us to discuss your interests and dates/times. Minimum of 5 students--invite your friends! We provide instructions, tools & supplies for all of our classes.
Our August and September, 2010 workshops: Basic Jewelry Skills--Beaded Earrings, Sept. 2, 6:30-8 p.m. $25.00
Learn about the tools required to make jewelry, how to flush cut wire, make "P" and "Eye" loops, and bead dangles. Members of the class will create the same design of earrings, but a variety of beads will be available for use.  (sample earrings, designs vary)
Candle Making, September 14, 6:30-8:30 p.m. $25.00
Learn how to make container candles using environmentally-friendly wax and wicking. This workshop will cover the basics of home aromatherapy as well. Participants will make two candles and receive printed instructions. Herbal Body Care, September 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m. $25.00
Receiving handmade gifts is a special treat. Students will learn to make a variety of herbal bath and body care products that are perfect for gift-giving or for yourself!. The basics of aromatherapy and natural skincare will be covered. Students will be given a list of utensils to bring ahead of time. Basic Jewelry Skills--Twisted Wire Earrings, August 25, 2010, 6:30-8:00 p.m. $25.00
Learn to straighten and flush cut wire, choose the appropriate wire gauge and tools, and bend wire using a jig or hand tools. Students will work with the same earring design, but will choose from a variety of beads.  (sample earrings, designs vary)
Beginning Jewelry--Beaded Bracelet and Earrings. September 9, 6:30-8 p.m., $25.00
Learn to create a bracelet and simple matching earrings by learning how to make bracelet toggles, crimp wire, design a bead pattern, and make an eye loop.

Clean & Green Home Keeping, August 26 and September 16, 7-8 p.m. $10.00
Learn to keep your home squeaky clean without using chemicals that harm the environment and your family. Cleaning naturally is easy and economical--we will provide recipes, supply list, and ingredient list. Purchase of our essential oil blend ($12.00) and natural soap flakes ($6.00) is optional.

Students will learn how to prepare surfaces for painting, paint a design, and finish the piece for a long new life. Students provide furniture and Kentucky Green provides all paint and brushes. | |
